Merina Ann Gordon

Merina’s interest in composing started at a young age. She began playing the piano at six and soon after started composing short pieces for fun. It was around this time Merina was first introduced to electronic music. As a young teenager, she attended the Summer Keyboard Explorations (held at Washington State University's School of Music in Pullman) where she was introduced to the organ.

While a junior at WSU, she was able to try her hand at creating electronic music. "On the Edge of Amnesia" was composed for the Electronic Music Techniques class taught by Dr. Blasco. Merina and her compositions have been featured at WSU's Electronic Music Festival (2017) and the Festival of Contemporary Art Music (2018).
