Merina sang the verses and led the congregation in the refrain during the Responsorial Psalm.
At the Offertory, the three Catholic graduates brought up items that symbolized their lives.
When Mass was over, but still in the Church, the three graduates were introduced by members of the High School religious ed class. Here is Emily Wolf introducing our Merina.
Something Emily said made Merina give a little smile. Merina, who is going to Washington State University's School of Music (surprise!), is flanked by Joel Meyers, who is attending St Martin's University, and Jessica Herres, who is going on to Walla Walla Community College.
Since the Baccalaureate Mass was held on Mother's day this year, the Seniors were able to tie their breakfast in with the annual Mother's Day breakfast and sausage salute sponsored by Holy Rosary's Knights of Columbus. Merina only ate one plateful this morning.
Merina was asked to introduce Jeff Becker, who was the featured speaker at the Baccalaureate Breakfast following Mass. She was very convincing in her presentation.
Merina in all her regalia. After three years of school at the Notre Dame du Petit Lac Academy and two (of three) quarters at Walla Walla Community College taking part in Running Start, she has a 3.72 GPA, thus the "Honor."
